Recorded in Bristol, England in 1993 and released in early 1994 on England based NERVOUS RECORDS. This is Three Blue Teardrops wild and raucous release on the record label that practically invented Psychobilly in the early 1980's. This album was produced by Alan Wilson from quasi-legendary UK band "The Sharks" and later chief bottle washer at Western Star Recording Studio. The album is made up of 8 re-recordings of material from our original self-released "Head's Up For '53....Here Comes Three Blue Teardrops" combined with 6 new songs unreleased elsewhere.

From memory the label wanted us to completely RE-record ALL our tracks from that release which was just a cassette we'd sell at our merch table back in those days. Our American fans and friends all had that material and we didn't want to disappoint our home fan base by doing that to them because we wanted to make a completely new record. The label wanted all the old songs re-recrorded...so we had a bit of a serious legal battle to work the measly 6 new songs into the recording contract. Maybe it was the fact we'd already recorded some of those songs already or maybe it was because we'd played some of those songs a few hundred times or maybe it was because we knew the Nervous Label fans loved their fast music, or maybe it was because we were young and excited to be in a "real recording studio" but the entire record is FAST and WILD and rockabilly at breakneck speed. Yeah...some of it is Psychobilly and some of it is Neo-Rockabilly and some of it is plain Americana but it's us. Dave felt a little cheated on his guitar tones but Rick and Randy were VERY happy with the powerful rhythm section sounds on this recording. Tempos aside the recordings are tight.

Whatever you want to classify this record as..WE did it and people seemed to enjoy it, especially people who never heard our "Head's Up" recordings. So, here it is, available to you on our website. We saw someone selling a copy of the CD on Amazon for $42. Psshhhh....We say buy the download for $10 from us or individual tracks for $.99 if you want to a la carte the tunes you don't have and don't want repeats. It's a buffet...enjoy yourself!

Three Blue Teardrops 1993/1994

Going global?

After some legal wrangling & assorted chicanery sorting out a recording contract with Nervous Records, we eventually had a real ball traveling to England to play the "Big Rumble" Festival in Great Yarmouth, England and met some crazy fun people before heading off to Bristol England to record the "One Part Fist!" album.  We had only a week to knock out the recordings and had to bail to catch a jet plane leaving the final mixes in the hands of our producer and engineer. Looking back on it from 30 years into the future we can see how young and green and raw we were, full of piss and vinegar but overall, It was an interesting learning process and a great memory for us.
